Up Community has been working with the wonderful Alexis who is a Speech and Language Therapist, we are running a pilot therapy play group which will include a small number of children who will be accompanied by a parent / guardian. The therapy play group will be unstructured open play and will incorporate speech and language strategies. These strategies will be different for each child and Alexis will demonstrate these to the parent/ guardian during the session. The parent/guardian will continue to put these strategies in place at home and work towards some set goals. Parents/Guardians who sign up for this will be committing to a weekly 45 – 50min session for 4 weeks.
